Can any age use or purchase the Security Kat? Yes, it's basically just a key chain. How you determine to use it is up to you. |
What if someone tries to take it from me and use it against me? Better to have something instead of nothing to protect yourself with. The chances of taking it are slim and you could say that about anything you carry for that matter. I would much rather have something in my hand to use. |
Will the Security Kat break? Anything can break given enough force, but it's unlikely as it's made from very durable acrylic lucite. It would take a great force to crack it. |
How heavy is the Security Kat? 1 ounce |
Is the Security Kat legal to carry? Yes, it's just a key chain. It is not considered a weapon, brass knuckle or anything illegal. It's just meant to hold your keys. |
Is the Security Kat a weapon, like a knife or gun? No, as I said, it's a plastic key chain. However, the structure of it can be used for self-defense |
Where else can the Security Kat be purchased? At this time we are setting up distributors. But for the moment, you can order them here on line at www.securitykat.com

THE
SECURITY KID
![]() |
What if my kids misuse the Security Kat and use it on their friends? As a parent myself, I would instruct my child that this is for protection and security only! Do not play and polk someone with it anymore than you would a pencil, pen, comb, etc or any foreign object. Only to be used if a stranger is to grab you and present harm to you in any way. |
What if the school takes The Security Kid away from my child? The Security Kid should not be out and exposed during school hours. It's meant to have your house keys or as an Adult, car keys, etc. It's meant to be carried to and from home and places in public where there is potential harm. But, if it's taken at school, my argument would be that it's a key chain and also I want my daughter or son to have this on them in case it's needed. It's not a weapon and it's legal. As I have said before, people use their keys alone to defend themselves, and those aren't taken away. |
