RIC DRASIN WRESTLING NEWS

This year 2009 is coming to an end with a very successful year of wrestling students. Wrestling classes are bigger and better than ever, we've got a lot of good talent and 5 of our students have already had two professional shows this year. Throughout the year we plan to have more and more shows. We have taken the kids and and developed a show around it called Bad News Brawlers. They're awesome and can work as well as the adults. Aside from that there are other networks popping up who show a great deal of interest in wrestling. My aim is to be seen and heard and not only be a part of current or future shows, but to bring my students into them as well.

Recently I developed a new interview show called Ric's Corner. It started by interviewing students but soon escalated to name actors and wrestlers. It's really taken off and as time moves on we're building a new stage and set to make the show top notch. We've also moved into Bodybuilding with it and are featured on www.Bodybuilding.com along with articles that I write.

The feaure film 'The Wrestler' Micky Rourke has inspired a lot of people to pay more attention to wrestling. I've been getting many calls from Newspapers to do articles on my school and also to coordinate TV Shows and Films that have wrestling in them.

Recently I was asksed to be a consultant on a new Pilot called 'Full Nelson' . I was also offered the role of promoter 'Ric Pearl' who is a cut throat promoter. Three of my students landed major roles on this show and the rest worked as extras in and out of the ring. This is a SAG film. (meaning Screen Actor's Guild union). Once the series sells to networks we all go to work steady for at least 6 to 12 episodes. Here's a behind scenes video and some photos from the shoot.
